Ash and Pikachu have fulfilled their goal after 25 years, so there is nothing more to look for among the main characters of the Pokémon anime.

Although we didn't report it separately, last month a historic event happened in the Pokémon series. 25 years ago, Ash and his faithful Pokémon Pikachu set out to become the best in the world, and our protagonist becomes a Pokémon master. In the 25th season, which will also arrive on Netflix next year with Hungarian dubbing, Ash finally fights Leon from the Galar region at the World Championship, where he defeats him and his Charizard after a long fight, thereby fulfilling his goal. Since the entire series is about achieving this goal and the road leading to it, it was still questionable what would happen next.

Of course, the Pokémon series cannot end because of this, but the manufacturer is letting go of our favorites - which may cause a minor setback for the franchise - which means that Ash and Pikachu will say goodbye to the viewers in the currently running 25th season. We don't know if they will do this permanently or if a cameo can still be expected from them, in any case, we will see them again in an 11-part special edition in January 2023. In this farewell round, familiar faces and friends also return, such as Misty and Brock, who were Ash's traveling companions from the first season.

From the next season, 26, the main characters of the series will be Liko and Roy, who may be familiar from the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet games, who live in the Paldea region.
